About us

Gecko Lingua Translations International was founded by Samira Goth and George Thundiparambil in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany in 2000.

Samira Goth is an MA in Social Anthropology, Sociology and Ethnology (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg) and has worked as a script writer, assistant editor and copy editor at AVM AG, Reinach, Switzerland, in the production of the Bertelsmann Video Project “The 20th Century” and the multi-media lexicon venture 4.0 by Bertelsmann Publishing, before she launched the translation agency along with George Thundiparambil. She is an expert in humanities and moreover well-versed in ecology and environment, and is a volunteer translator for Greenpeace International.

George Thundiparambil is an MA in English Language and Literature (Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India) and has worked as a copywriter, editor and public relations director in India before he settled in Germany, where he studied the German language. He has published a novel (MAYA) in English in India and has written numerous articles on faith and religion on internet forums and blogs. His interest in science and technology is nurtured by professional translation assignments.
